Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am not dead -
I just change the rooms
I live in you -
And walk through your dreams.

Nothing was too late - but a lot was too soon. - life is not fair.

I can´t see anymore - do not believe my eyes.
Just can´t believe anymore - feelings have turned.
I´m too lazy to give up - it will be too soon - because everything must change.
Nothing was too late - but a lot was too soon - life is not fair.
It was a piece of heaven - to have you with us.
You´ve filled every room with sun, you´ve turned every displeasure to the contrary.
We´ve been conspired, we would have been died for eachother, we´ve bowed the rain,
We´ve lended confidence to eachother, we´ve pushed us through many tides.
Nothing was too late - but a lot was too soon - life is not fair.
Northern nobel your gentle kindness, your boundless pride, your certain walk,
Your cheerful dignity, your endless fate.
Have you secure in my soul - carry you with me - until my curtain will fall.

On September, 13th 2002 we felt like loosing the ground under our feet.
Badkes Ben didn´t wake up from an anesthesia at the age of 2 ½ years. The centre of our family wasn´t there anymore.
We had the opportunity to share a part of our life with him. We spent a beautiful time together and we learned a lot from him - during the short time which was granted us together. He was a faithful and reliable friend on a lot of walks and journeys.
His kindness, his pride, his greatness and his sunny mind made every day to a special day. For all this we are endless grateful for him.
This good-bye means not the end for us, Bens influence to our life will continue.
There will be no day, we will not think about him. And there will be times - the memory of Ben will bring us back to the only truth - the reality, that love is the only strength that make us sensitive for the demands of living being, both - animals and men.
